  • Lochies School Consultation on Proposed Relocation

    The current Lochies school needs expanded to meet pupils’ needs. A recent paper to Clackmannanshire Council recommends relocating Lochies to a new site within the Alloa Academy catchment area. Having considered a number of sites and consulted with parents the preferred site for the replacement Lochies school is beside The Pavilions Business Park near Redwell Primary school in Alloa. More

  • Early Learning and Childcare Consultation 2022

    From August 2020 eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds have been able to access 1140 hours of funded Early Learning and Childcare (ELC).     Clackmannanshire Secondary Support Service was previously housed in a Category 'C' listed building from 1875 in Bedford Place, Alloa, which lies within a conservation area.     In May 2020, the ABC Nursery building was subject to emergency closure because the planned structural assessments were unable to take place due to the Covid-19 lockdown. There was a plan to reopen the building in August 2020. Following a period of extreme weather, an emergency decision was taken in August 2020 not to reopen the building on the basis of Health and Safety. More
