Rent Increase Consultation 2019/20

Closed 20 Jan 2019

Opened 20 Dec 2018

The Council approved the Housing financial business plan in 2018 which set objectives for the next 5 years.

The proposed objectives are:

  • We want to keep our focus on front line service delivery so we can maintain a high level of satisfaction.  In our Tenant Satisfaction and Aspiration Survey 2016, 94% of tenants were either very or fairly satisfied with the overall service provided by Clackmannanshire Council as a landlord.
  • To continue to invest in Council housing stock maintaining it to the Scottish Housing Quality Standard and Energy Efficiency Standards.
  • To continue to deliver kitchen, bathroom and front door replacements to the enhanced Local Clackmannanshire Standard.
  • To reduce the overall debt carried by the Housing Revenue Account.

Why We Are Consulting

We are required to consult on changes to the rent structure and major policy decisions affecting tenants under the 2001 Housing Scotland Act.

This short consultation should take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

What Happens Next

Report for decision will go to Council on 21 February 2018.
