CSHSCP Palliative and End of Life Care Consultation - Stage 2

Closes 22 Sep 2024

Opened 7 Aug 2024

Overview

Palliative and end-of-life care encompasses the care and support provided to someone following diagnosis of a life-threatening illness and a person can be cared for palliatively for many years (World Health Organisation).

This care includes health, social, and spiritual care for the person, their loved ones, and their carers.

Why your views matter

We held in-person events and an online survey throughout April and May to gather people’s experiences and thoughts on community palliative and end-of-life care across Forth Valley.

This feedback has been gathered and individual views have been compiled into wider themes. These themes have informed what we believe are our areas for priority and vision, which form the basis of our Strategic Plan.

We are conducting a follow-up consultation to ensure that this analysis is aligned with people’s experiences.

In Stage 2 of consultation, we ask if we have captured the right intentions and priorities in the draft Strategic Commissioning Plan. We want to ensure it reflects the views of those who access and/or deliver community palliative and end-of-life care services.

You do not need to have been involved in the initial engagement to complete this survey. However, it would help us to know if you were involved.

Please take some time to review the short PowerPoint before completing this survey.

Thank you for your participation in the development of this Strategic Plan.
