NHS FV Falkirk Community Hospital Patient Bus Pilot

Overview

NHS Forth Valley and Clackmannanshire Council, have operated a direct bus service from Clackmannanshire to Falkirk Community Hospital (FCH) every Wednesday since October 2025, for people living in postcodes FK10 and FK14.

The service is available for anybody needing to access Falkirk Community Hospital and can also transport people with mobility aids or wheelchairs.

Patients can travel with a carer for a cost of £2 for a single fair.

The service is currently only funded until April 2026.

Why your views matter

We would like to ask local residents some questions to help us understand how this bus is being used by patients.

Your answers will help inform future direct patient bus services.

This consultation is short and should take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

What happens next

The information gathered from this survey helps Clackmannanshire Council understand where patients need to travel to in order to meet their appointments.

The data will be used to make decisions on future direct bus transport options for residents and patients.

We will continue to work with funders and NHS Forth Valley to help people reach appointments at key sites across the area.
