There were 324 responses to the question 'Do you agree with renaming to Alloa Campus?' 41 respondents replied yes and 283 respondents replied no. Respondents wanted schools to retain their individual names.

The consultation process also included direct engagement through a public meeting, attended by 52 members of the public, and a further 9 stakeholder consultation meetings.

We did

Council decided on Thursday 28 November 2024 to permanently relocate St Mungo's RCPS to its current location in Alloa Academy. All respondents views were taken into account along with the independent report, provided in line with legislation, by Education Scotland, HM Inspectors.

Council agreed not to rename the building that St Mungo's and Alloa Academy occupy 'Alloa Campus' as the consultees felt this undermined the identity of the individual schools.

Officers will continue to work in partnership with stakeholders to address the issues through the consultation process.
