Early Learning and Childcare Consultation 2022

Overview

From August 2020 eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds have been able to access 1140 hours of funded Early Learning and Childcare (ELC). 

Families have a choice on how they wish to access these hours and are able to choose to access them with partner childminders, partner nurseries, local authority ELC settings, or through a mix of different providers (blended childcare).

Why your views matter

The Scottish Government requires all local authorities to consult with families every two years so that we can make sure that the ELC provision available is flexible, accessible and affordable.

Your views will help us design the services we make available and we would appreciate if you were able to take 5 minutes to let us know what you would like to see within Clackmannanshire.

What happens next

Following the consultation there will be a review of the pattern of funded Early Learning and Childcare offered in Local Authority ELC settings.
