Clackmannanshire Local Development Plan - Development Plan Scheme
Overview
Clackmannanshire Local Development Plan Review
The Council is commencing work on the Clackmannanshire Local Development Plan Review under the new planning system. We expect to adopt this in 2028.
The first stage
We have published our draft Development Plan Scheme in July 2023, which details:
-
how we will review the current Clackmannanshire Local Development Plan
-
when we will do this
-
how and when to get involved
Timeline
We will prepare the Clackmannanshire Local Development Plan review under the new local development planning regulations which came into force on 19 May 2023.
If there are no changes to the current timeline, we will:
-
prepare and publish an evidence report in late 2024
-
prepare and publish a proposed local development plan in early 2027
-
adopt the new local development plan in 2028

How you can get involved
The Development Plan Scheme will be updated annually. The consultation is open until 5pm on Friday 18th August 2023.
There will be further consultation when we prepare the Evidence Report, Proposed Local Development Plan and associated documents and these are detailed in the Development Plan Scheme.
