Help us monitor birds of prey in Clackmannanshire

Closed 31 Oct 2020

Opened 4 May 2020

Overview

Many birds of prey, also known as raptors, have been subject to habitat loss and persecution and it’s really important to monitor them.

These birds act as indicators of the general health of the environment as they are at the top of the food chain.

Please do not disturb any birds during this time as it is nesting season.

Why your views matter

Our Ranger Service is asking for your help gathering some simple information when you are out on your daily exercise.

Please keep an eye out for any birds of prey you spot in Clackmannanshire and let our Rangers know. You should be able to do this and comply with the access and social distancing guidelines.

Information that is gathered will contribute to the Scottish Raptor Report.

The survey is very short and should only take a few minutes to complete.
