Draft Corporate Plan 2018-22

Overview

Transforming Your Council

A Corporate Plan is a key strategic Council document.

It says where the Council wants to be in four years’ time, together with a clear statement of priorities that will guide employees in decision making over that period of time.

The priorities set out in this draft Corporate Plan have been informed by our agreed Local Outcomes Improvement Plan, local and national policy priorities and recent poverty and economic baseline assessments.

It is projected that we’ll have £30 million less to spend over the next three financial years, which means the way the Council operates will continue to change. We want to make sure our reducing resources are directed to the things that matter most to you. There are no easy savings options left and every area of our work has been looked at very closely.

Why your views matter

We are consulting with you so you can let us know whether we have identified the correct priorities for the next four years. Tell us by completing our online survey.

Look out for a further survey in December which will detail specific proposed changes to Council services.

What happens next

Feedback will be analysed and a final draft Corporate Plan 2018-22 will be brought back before Council in December 2018 for approval.
