There were a total of 13 respondents to the consultation with the general belief being that something should be done to deal with the ongoing problems relating to congestion and parking. However, the majority of respondents felt that the proposed one-way system should be reversed.
With this in mind, Roads & Transportation are preparing a follow up consultation with the proposed one-way system reversed.
The revised consultation will be published in early September 2013.

Reverse one-way system. Concerned that visibility from Brook Street to east is constantly blocked. |

Most traffic currently arrives via Brook Street. Fears they won't be prepared to use new system and will block up the garages on Elmbank. Bus restrictions are a good idea and long overdue. Extend double yellow lines at corner. Concerned about visibility from Brook Street onto A91 |

Would prefer system to operate in the opposite direction Supports bus ban. Wants 20mph limit, car park on green spaces at Menstrie Castle and Menstrie football fields. |
Clackmannanshire Council is proposing the introduction of a one-way system on Menstrie Place & Castle Road, Menstrie. We also propose to prohibit buses from using Elmbank, Menstrie Place and Castle Road.
The changes are designed to promote road safety, limit congestion and avoid damage to vehicles and footways.
All responses will be analysed and feedback will be available from August 2013
