Overview

Clackmannanshire Council, in partnership with Stirling Council, is committed to the use and promotion of the Gaelic language in recognition of its status as one of Scotland's national languages and its unique contribution to Scotland's diverse culture.

As part of our commitment we have prepared a draft Gaelic Language plan and are keen to gather your views.

The plan sets out the practical steps which Clackmannanshire Council will take to support the Gaelic language and its regeneration.  This will include steps to promote learning the Gaelic language and encouraging its use across Clackmannanshire.

The plan will be delivered in part jointly with Stirling Council, as the two councils share an Education Service.
