Housing Repairs Policy Consultation

Closed 8 Jul 2015

Opened 10 Jun 2015

Results expected 25 Sep 2015

Overview

Our aim is always to strive for excellence and customer satisfaction, getting repairs right first time, providing a friendly, courteous and efficient service.

Every year Clackmannanshire Council completes over 20,000 repair jobs on our 5,000 properties.  In addition we carry out planned improvements each year to ensure our stock is maintained to a very high standard.

Tenants' individual needs will be considered when ordering a repair, to ensure that we do not discriminate in the service we provide.

This repairs policy should be read in conjunction with the tenancy agreement.

Why your views matter

To improve our service, it is proposed that all repairs, other than emergencies, will now be completed by appointment on a date agreed with the tenant.  We will take account of the urgency and nature of the repair, and the right to repair priorities, but responding to a repair request at a time that is convenient to the tenant is the main priority.  In this way it is hoped to minimise missed appointments, improve tenant satisfaction, and make best use of resources.

What happens next

Following the consultation, all feedback received will be reviewed prior to completion of the final policy.
