The Future of Shared Services

Closed 16 Aug 2015

Opened 1 Jul 2015

Overview

Clackmannanshire and Stirling councils began sharing education and social services in 2010. Since then developments have included shared management teams, strategies and processes.

A business case has now been published on the feasibility of extending that approach more fully. The business case is available on each council's website and views are being sought from all interested parties.

Council Chief Executives Elaine McPherson and Stewart Carruth said: "Our elected members will be considering the business case in the coming months. To inform that consideration, both councils are keen to receive comments from everyone who has an interest in how education and social services will be delivered across the two areas in the future."

Feedback on the business case is sought by mid August and councillors will be briefed on all views which are offered at an all-member briefing at the end of September. Feedback can be emailed to shared@clacks.gov.uk
